About the Artist

Kelley-Ann Lindo’s multidisciplinary practice explores ideas around trauma and memory, and their relationship to identity in the Caribbean. She examines interruptions, recollections, imaginary representations of truth, and false memory in postcolonial spaces through storytelling in her work.

Lindo received a BFA from The Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in 2015 and an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2021. She has exhibited at Wassaic Projects, Wassaic, NY; Trout Museum of Art, Appleton WI; The Anderson Gallery, Richmond, VA; and The National Gallery of Jamaica, Kingston, Jamaica. Lindo received the 2021 Dedalus Foundation Master of Fine Arts Fellowship in Painting & Sculpture and was a recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship in 2019. She has participated in residencies at The Studios at MASS MoCA, North Adams, MA; Alice Yard, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago; and New Local Space (NLS), Kingston, Jamaica. Lindo is currently an Assistant Professor in Residence at Rhode Island School of Design.
