The Art Village is home to Xavier University of Louisiana's Department of Art and Performance Studies. The Department fosters a dynamic learning environment where students can realize their creative potential. Students develop skills in both traditional and contemporary artistic practices through a blend of studio work, seminars, and theory. Majors and minors gain valuable experience in visual art, culture, and communication.

Street parking is free and available along Edinburgh St, Pine St, Lowerline St, and the surrounding neighborhood.

This venue is outdoors, and the artworks are visible from the street.

P.6 installations are located on Buildings 39 and 43. Both works are visible from the Edinburgh St side of the Art Village.
