First settled in 1719 and annexed by the city of New Orleans in 1870, Algiers Point is the second oldest neighborhood in New Orleans. It is located just across the Mississippi River from the French Quarter. Take a short ferry ride or the Crescent City Connection bridge to discover the nieghborhood's historic architecture and stroll the Jazz Walk of Fame.
